Sri Thep Historic Town :
The ancient town of Sri Thep is located in Phetchabun Province in the Pa Sak River Basin. It is about 240 kilometers north of Bangkok along Highway 21.
The town consists of two connected parts, the total area is about 4.7 square kilometers. The inner town is surrounded by walls and moats which form almost concentric circles which give the inner town a diameter of about 1.5 kilometers. Ponds are found through out the rolling plain of the town. The outer town is in the shape of rectangle with rounded corners. Walls and moats surround the outer town which contains the ruins of monuments, most of which have been damaged by looting.
